Camera sales in February, the domestic mirrorless camera market is gaining momentum
Recently, CIPA announced its February camera sales report. Domestic sales of mirrorless cameras have increased, while the SLR market has been bleak. From a global perspective, the overall camera market sales are declining.
According to the latest report of CIPA, the domestic mirrorless camera market was still active in February. Compared with January, the sales volume increased slightly by 3%. Compared with the camera market in February last year, the sales of mirrorless cameras increased by 22%, while the sales of SLR cameras fell by 27%.
However, the global camera market is slightly different from the domestic situation. Global SLR camera sales increased slightly from January, with an increase of 2%, and mirrorless camera sales were basically the same as in January. From a macro point of view, the global camera market is generally sluggish. Compared with the total sales in January and February last year, global SLR cameras fell 25% this year, mirrorless cameras fell 4%, and fixed lens sales fell 33%.
