In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

Hello everyone, I’m Laona, you can also call me “21st Century Magic Pen Ma Liang”, because I usually like to study some techniques of retouching photos, so the classmates who listened to me gave me this one. “Interesting” nickname!

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style, probably this effect:

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

This is a synthesized quick-release video, you can take a look:

I just recently filmed a film on the theme of Japanese gymnastics suits. I simply used it to teach my classmates about manga-style synthesis techniques. It was also a very simple and rude 3-step synthesis method. I learned the absolute beauty. Here are the steps!

First, let’s take a look at the comparison between the original image and the rendering:

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

The original picture here I used is a modified film, not a pure original film, because we talk about manga style synthesis, there is no need to liquefy the microdermabrasion. The ordinary into the film began to do synthesis!

Step 1: Cut out the characters first

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

I used the quick selection tool to cut out the picture. In this step, I cut out not only the character, but also the stone table on which the character is sitting, but everyone pays attention to the tree in the background. The simple and crude synthesis method mentioned can solve the problem! You can take a closer look at the trees in the background. After blurring, a very soft transition effect is formed with the sky. There is basically no way you can cut out the details of the leaves alone. Then we won’t cut out and use other methods to solve it!

Step 2: Put the comic sky in the background

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

Attention should be paid to this step. In the first step, the characters we cut out need to be copied by CTRL+J to a separate layer, and then put the prepared comic sky background material under that layer of characters, and at the same time Press CTRL+ALT+G to create a downward clipping mask for the comic material, so that we can get a rough background change effect.

But here we still have to talk about the leaves in the background. If the leaves are completely gone, they still look a bit fake, so we next call to find a way to solve this problem!

Step 3: Let the leaves appear by mixing color bands

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

This step requires you to double-click the comic material layer, and then you can see the layer style options, we adjust the mixed color band, and pull the small triangle that says [Next Layer] in it. The specific operation method First pull the black on the left to the center position, and then hold down ALT to pull the right half of the black triangle to make the picture transition softer, so that we can slowly recover the leaves that just disappeared, and The sky material in the background is very soft and combined with the gap of the leaves, there is no PS trace at all! After these 3 steps, our synthesized effect is complete!

  Step 4: Preset color grading

In the PS course, I explained a post-production of a Japanese girl manga style

We generally need to do a color adjustment after synthesis to make the characters and background in the picture more integrated. Here I directly use the color preset given by the “Portrait Master Training Camp Season 2” course to make the picture more Japanese The atmosphere of the comics, now it can be said that it is all done!
