Panasonic will continue to develop M43 and full-frame cameras, and explore the 8K market

Recently, foreign media conducted an exclusive interview with Yosuke Yamane, head of Panasonic’s imaging department, and introduced many current and future development policies of Panasonic. The key content is as follows:

Panasonic will continue to develop M43 and full-frame cameras, and explore the 8K market

New product G100 sales are strong:

People cannot travel due to the epidemic , So we are very worried about the sales of Panasonic G100 for travel. But many video users are publishing their home videos, so the actual sales are much better than expected. We think its Selfie mode and OZO audio function are widely accepted.

  GH5 successor:

GH5 has been launched for nearly 4 years, but many customers are still choosing GH5, and many creators are still shooting videos with M43 format cameras. As I have promised many times, we will continue to develop M43 and full-frame products to meet the needs of creators. News about the latest GH series cameras will also be announced to the public as soon as possible.

  8K video:

We are currently exploring the future potential and market potential of 8K, and continue to develop technologies for future and expanding market needs. However, the current 8K application is a bit slower than I expected 3 years ago.
