The Senate meets on Saturday to discuss Barrett’s nomination and will confirm the result on Monday

Procedural voting will be held on Sunday The final confirmation will be made on Monday.

Saturday afternoon Eastern time, the Senate will rarely hold a meeting to debate Judge Barrett’s entry into the Supreme Court. In a few days, voters will decide whether Republicans will continue to control the Senate and White House.

The Democrats strongly opposed the confirmation of Barrett’s appointment just before the election and boycotted Thursday’s vote by the Judiciary Committee. New York State Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer adopted four delaying tactics at the Senate meeting on Friday, including the mandatory holding of short private meetings.

The Republicans with power and majority of votes will welcome more protests by Democrats this weekend, but they are still optimistic that they won the confirmation of Barre in the final vote on Monday 51 votes were specially elected.

“The main reason we are here is to allow Democrats to continue protesting,” said South Dakota Republican Senator Thun. “Yesterday we had a series of procedural votes. They are trying to do their best. Can delay or block her nomination.”

Thun predicted that as long as there is Republican support, Barrett will win the procedural vote on Sunday afternoon and the final vote on Monday night.

”We are preparing to vote tomorrow at one o’clock. This is what we call the final vote. This is a procedural vote. As long as we have every Republican here, we will win the election. One night we voted on the nomination of Judge Barrett.”
