Canon develops a new 21 million pixel sensor or used in EOS R1

According to sources, Canon has developed a new model with the following specifications Image sensor:

21 million pixel full frame sensor

  Global shutter

  120dB dynamic range

  120 frames/sec

A sensor based on the enhanced technology of the 2/3-inch GS sensor shown at ISSC 2017. Please note that the rumored sensor is not a 2/3-inch sensor, but based on a 2/3-inch sensor.

Therefore, the question here is, will Canon EOS R1 be equipped with this sensor? Maybe. It is said that EOS R1 is equivalent to EOS-1D X series level, and there are rumors that it will be released in 2021. Will the 21-megapixel full-frame sensor still meet the needs of professional sports mirrorless cameras in 2021?
