There is news that Canon plans to release a “high-end” APS-C camera in late 2020 or early 2021. The product launch time is obviously affected by the current global epidemic situation.

From the information received, I can’t figure out this new camera Is it an EF-M mount or an RF mount.

A source said that the new APS-C camera is basically “EOS R6 with a small sensor”, but the source did not clarify what mount.

Canon may also release an RF 18-45mm IS STM lens in the first half of 2021. There is no such full-frame focal length range in history. It is not a suggestion to produce the RF-S, but it makes sense to use the new cheap lens with the APS-C EOS R camera. This is just an assumption.

One thing that multiple sources seem to agree on is that we will get a replacement for EOS 7D Mark II in a mirrorless form, and it will not affect EOS M6 Mark II and EOS R6.

In addition, the successor to the Canon EOS M50 will be launched in Japan in the last quarter of 2020, but may not be released until early 2021 in other parts of the world.

It is not a replacement for EOS 7D Mark II, but a major upgrade to the previous generation. Most people believe that the EOS M50 is Canon’s best-selling mirrorless. It is even doing well in North America and Europe.
